TrackLing app for iPhone and iPad

The TrackLing mobile app is used for recording the movement of yachts during a race. Each racing yacht needs to have one device onboard running the app. All records are sent in real time to the "cloud", and records from the other yachts are received. All tracks are displayed on a map on the screen together with all marks and the race course.
Spectators may use the mobile app to follow the race but there is also a web app for that purpose.
Analysis of tracks can be made after the race. Possible protest situations can be identified, the effect of wind shifts can be observed etc.
Each event must be administered by an organization (club) to prepare the race course and the starting list. Each skipper needs to log in with his e-mail in order to connect to the right yacht.
Measurement are made with maximum GPS accuracy at a rate of once per two seconds. During longer races (>4-5 hours) the battery condition must be observed. Energy saving settings may then be applied.
